Savvion was founded in 1994 by Dr. M. A. Ketabchi, a computer engineering professor at Santa Clara University and the director of the Object and Multimedia Technologies Research Laboratory.  Under Dr. Ketabchi’s leadership, Savvion launched the industry’s first Business Process Management (BPM) product, Savvion BusinessManager, in 1999.
